Trash as!!
Chesscom's new Game review, what the heck happened?

Just looked. Has anyone found out yet how to turn off the arrows?
Part of the point of the game review is you are meant to find the best move, but the arrows just give you the answer.

Ah, got it now.
You have to go to "anylisis", then "game teview settings" then turn off "show best move". It's a bit dumb that's the default though.

How can you change it back to old review style?
If you're on the new version, you can't go back.
Staff are tracking feedback and making some changes based on it.

How about letting us choose if we want the change or not ? Because it's clearly terrible as is.

The site won't keep multiple code versions for a feature active long term. I've been using it for the past few weeks and other than the extra click to get past the summary, Im not seeing issues with the update.

I dont like it at all it looks horrible and the arrows which someone pointed out i now have to remove as weirdly they are the default just looks and feels horrible also a couple of times last couple of days its stopped reviewing from my side to the other side this wasn't a problem on the last version as you could select which side to review from if you wanted

Another thing I'm not a fan of is the removal of the list of evaluation improvements your reviewed moves make.
That's kind of useful for working out which areas you most need to work on.

tbh I haven't even noticed any difference with the old one, my problem is that the review almost never loads 🤬

You should be seeing it from the side you played once you step into the review (clicking Start Review) unless you manually flip. The Summary screen is going to show white on the left and black on the right.

It's absolute garbage! The old style was perfect; one list to easily scroll with the mouse!!! Now you need to click around a lot, because things are HIDDEN in several different places.
PLEASE bring back the old style as an option, Chess.com!!!
I was considering upgrading from Gold to get unlimited review, but NOT for this trash!

Gold doesn't give you unlimited review anyway.
You get unlimited lessons, puzzles, and puzzle battles, which is why I got Gold; but to get unlimited review you need platinum.

Yes, I always use my one daily Game Review. But I want to review all my games, so I need unlimited. And I was about to upgrade my account. But if Chess.com is making the review this garbage I will just copy the file over to Lichess instead and use their free review. Saves €36 a year...

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK?
I would say the New Game Review is trash compared to Old Game Review.
I think the Old Game Review had style, personalization, and I think the AI’s coach comment added a nice tough of class & eloquence to the review.
You can call me a crybaby if you want too, but at least say it correctly!
I’M CRYBABY WITH STYLE!
This week we got a new game review. How bad is it?
