Bitcoin is illegal now? Tell us more...
Chess.com's sister site?
Bitcoins are the future
I can't access the site with firefox, and safari says the certificate is invalid

Not entirely happy with the gambit-ad showing on top of the page every week or so. Checked it out and there are other boardgaming websites out there that offer much more and better games for free. The site just feels a bit cheap compared to chess.com.

hmmm??
Maybe try setting time and date to current. My daughter had the same problem with safari last week.
I mentioned that to her and she has'nt contacted me since... so maybe it worked.

Bitcoins are a virtual currency, they can be bought for real $-s. At the moment there are alot of things happening in bitcoinland that make bitcoins a very risky investment, but they are not illegal.

The future is now

As I've written before, I'm sure Erik considers it a public service announcement, not an ad. Actually Kohai posted something to the effect that in the small print of the no ad policy is "except for chess.com ads" and since Erik owns both sites...

Maybe you have special X-ray vision, and you don't know it?? I see things all the time, but the're not there. Ya know what I mean Vern??

Bitcoins are not illegal. In fact, the IRS just made an important ruling on how they are treated for taxation purposes.

Enlighten us grasshoper; how are bitcoins treated for taxation purposes?? I've got about $800,000. Don't tell Erik.
"Want to play Risk? Yahtzee? Backgammon? Battleship? Monopoly? Check out our sister site Gambit.com!" poped up on my screen, where usually annnouncements for live videos appear. (under the menu bar.
What is gambit.com? I checked it, and it said "...bitcoin...". I heard on the news that Bitcoin is illegal or something?
