Weirdly enough ill tend to lose less against the clock when screen recorder is on. About 50% better win/lose ratio in bullet games. Something fishy in the clock but not sure what.
Clock/Timer Being Manipulated
I'm losing alot these past two days in bullet on time. Seems like the phone app clock takes time from me even when I pre move!?

I just played an opponent from Venezuela. He ran out of time but his clock kept resetting to 3 to 7 seconds remaining several times until my clock ran out of time.

that's ur internet buddy

Is it possible that chess.com may just have clocks that work? If your game gets frozen then you disconnected and it’s your time

The iOS app has a bug during tournament games where the clock doesn't work. That will be fixed in version 4.2.9 when it's released.

It really doesn't matter how you explain something, no one will change their mind about anything. Nevertheless, let me try.
This subject has been explained before. There is only a single way your opponent can "hack" your clock, which is by hacking the main chess.com server. The opponent does not have a direct connection to your computer and has no way of figuring out which one it is (Unless they can do so through the main chess.com server). However, if a group of people could hack into the server, there are many worse things they could do (Mostly involving money).
The following paragraph is hypothetical, so please correct me where I am wrong.
When you disconnect, you are not able to send a response to the server. I presume there are two methods of keeping time on the server, the official time (on the server itself) and the presumed time, which your computer (from data from the server) automatically puts as your clock on chess.com. If you lose connection (and make a move), your computer sees that no response has been received from your opponent, and starts the timer on their clock, but DOES NOT START THE TIMER ON THE MAIN SERVER. The main server has not received a message stating your move from your computer (as it disconnected), so your clock's time ticks down instead of your opponents. When you regain connection your computer updates your opponent's clock with the correct time, which would roughly be equal to a situation where you did not move at all.
Again, the previous paragraph is completely hypothetical, and likely has many things wrong with it.

Thank you Martin for admitting there is a problem with the clock. Also I don’t believe that opponents are manipulating the clock, just that there is a problem with the clock, and possibly the servers at Chess.com. I love the app, as you can see I have been on here for many years, but it isn’t perfect. It might not matter to most but when playing bullet games it does matter.

than how did my opponent win with 15 sec to my 314 sec , I tell you , his time ran out but the
game did not end , I hit refresh then I had 23 sec again his time ran out and I refreshed , and
than I lost on time . explain this >?
I was waiting for my opponent to make a move. He didn't move for a long time, and I thought I was probably going to win on time. All of a sudden, I got a message saying that I would abort and lose if I didn't make a move. I tried to make a move, but nothing happened. Also, my clock suddenly showed a lot less time, and my opponent's clock showed he had used very little time. He was declared the winner. Another strange thing is that the last move I made does not appear when I look at the game again.

What happened is that, for whatever reason, your computer lost communication with the chess.com server. It may have been a glitch on your own network (such as using too many resources), something wrong in between your computer and chess.com (an internet line down somewhere), or within the chess.com architecture (unlikely, but possible I suppose).
The move you made never made it to the chess.com server - the packets your computer sent with the move got dropped somewhere along the way. The message stating you would abort was likely sent and not received by your own computer in time - by the time it arrived at your computer, the chess.com server determined that you had abandoned the game and forced it to abort.
When the temporary internet congestion finally cleared, your computer was finally able to regain communication, but by then it was too late.

There was a live server issue. Staff have been working on it and live should be working correctly.

I have had this happen. My opponent ran out of time, and I had 17 seconds left. When his clock hit zeros, the game froze for a few seconds, and then it said I lost. Suddenly, I had no time and he had a few seconds added back.
The opponent moved slow but had more time, far to much time. That can only be due to CHEATING!!!
The CHEATING can only be done through your website.
You again, are CHEATING for paying members of your website, which demonstrates the morals and ethics you have, or lack there of.
I will continue to write these reports until you correct these problems, problems caused and written by you, and/or your IT department.
There is only one excuse for such manner, and that is your lack of knowledge in CHESS.
The fact, that you have yet to counter with a rebuttal, is proof enough of your wrong-doing, whether you lack the knowledge, or not!
And Yes, I have witnessed a manipulation (changing of the opponents clock) during games I have played.
THIS WEBSITE WILL NEVER BE A SERIOUS CHESS WEBSITE, AND RATINGS ARE A JOKE!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL SERIOUS CHESS PLAYERS!
Not in a long time. Now back in the day ; I had people try disconnecting and coming right back and each time they would it would affect the clock in some way. I lost several games that had they just played and not used shannanogons; I very well may have won. But the problem or glitch has long since been fixed.
