Hmm, trying to think of something original... I dunno.
Since I'm hungry, I'm thinking of a food set.
How about a board made of fairly large light and dark square crackers and the pieces are 6 different types of lunch meats, cut to each shape for visual reference. The light pieces would have a square of american cheese in the middle, the dark pieces get cheddar.
The board is made by laying the crackers in checkerboard fashion 2-3 crackers high. This way, when you capture a piece and (obviously) eat it, you can also pick up the square (cracker) without completely removing a square from the board.
Do you guys have any? As in a chessboard that follows a certain them from any medium (example: Bioshock; that's my idea. Wish there was one
).
For those interested: Splicers would be pawns, Frank Fontaine as bishops, Big Daddies as rooks, Sander Cohen as knights, Tenenbaum as Queen, and Andrew Ryan as King.
