I came up with an idea yesterday when going through some old Daily Puzzles & Lesson Challenges to quickly revisit/access one’s that I found useful. I have no idea if people are already doing this so I figured I’d share it in the event someone else finds it helpful. It’s like having a very customized study section tailored just for one’s specific needs.
The Collections feature in Library may be a good way to organize these as they can store Puzzles, Lesson Challenges and specific portions of games in one place. The way I’ve titled everything so far isn’t ideal but it got me started and I figured sharing it would help illustrate what I’m talking about.
For example, a Collection can be created for complicated exchanges featured in puzzles that were particularly instructive. Alongside it in the same collection can be portions of games or Lesson Challenges that highlight the same idea. I added them by clicking “Analyze” on the Puzzle Day/Lesson Challenge then “add to Library” just as would be done with any other game.
I like having the ability to only add things that I found particularly relevant without it being cluttered with examples I already feel proficient in… adding specific patterns or ideas that sometimes I overlook or forget about. I like the idea of being able to label them into both general and very specific categories that can be found quickly.
*It would be really nice if collections could be organized into a directory with folders and even sub-folders rather than being spread across multiple pages. eg. Having a separate folder for Middle & Endgame with the relevant collections inside.
Sorry this might not make any sense… I must have hit a button that posted this by accident before I could write anything to accompany the picture. Working on it now
