d4 solid setup but does it have a name?

Sort:
TheHuggy1987
I remember seeing a game with Keres being white was playing for a solid position. And I know ive seen this idea in many of the black d4 defenses. But it was a white setup with a Bishop to b2, pawn to b3 and the other bishop went to e2 and pawn e3 and the other pawns on d4 and c4. lol I know this is super generalize. So bear with me and ill post a couple examples. but more over my question is can someone mention some material that has this d4 idea in it for study?
Commander_Riker

I will have to look up that position for you but if you want d4 info here is a club that has loads of d4 info in the forums (https://www.chess.com/club/1-d4-group) anyone can join happy.png I'll get back to you on that opening if I can figure it out happy.png

1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 e6 5.e3 Nbd7 6.Be2 Bd6 7.b3 This would be vs the slav. But using this idea to possibly avoid some of the indian lines.

TheHuggy1987

Generally speaking this solid setup may not have a name for it. I mainly hoping for sources of this idea or some input would be good as well.

The opening that is the closest I can find is the ( King's Indian Defense: Fianchetto Variation )

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. g3 Bg7 4. Bg2 O-O 5. e4 d6 6. b3 c5 7. Bb2

FaceCrusher

Sort of an amalgamation of a Colle Zugertort and Nimzo-Larsen by transposition. However, strictly speaking, after 1.d4 d5, 2.c4 c6, Nf3 Nf6 the game is technically a Queen's Gambit Declined, Semi-Slave, ECO D45.

TheHuggy1987

paul keres vs mark taimanov 1951 this was the game in question. in reference to this game I remember this was an idea he played to avoid the ideas of some of the indian defense lines. Of course it starts in an english 1.c4. but he got an interesting queen pawn opening with the hanging center pawns.
