Today we are going to see Discovered attacks and Pins.

.Discovered Attacks

.When there is a piece blocking you from attacking a another piece.

.If you simply move the piece out of the way you could attack the piece.

. We Can also do checkmates by using Discovered attacks.. We can do it with Pawns,Kings,Queens,Rooks And not Knights because They can Jump over Pieces.

Pins 

. Its the opposite Of Skewer if you do not know what is a Skewer then check it out i have made a topic about that.

.When a minor piece cannot move because There Is a major point material behind the Minor Piece

. Also if there is a minor piece behind the King  You cannot move its a illegal move if you do that you cannot put your king in danger.

Discovered attacks Example

As WE HAVE SEEN the knight is blocking the Bishop from attacking the Queen so if you move that knight then there will be an attack on the Queen

. Pins Example

The White Bishop is pinning the Knight to the Black Queen If the knight moves away from its place UH OH Then Free Queen!
