Has any one tried their hand at making their own chess set??

I recently picked up a set of rubber mould for a staunton chess set from the Prince August range. its a metal casting set. I have used pewter to cast the pieces (low to zero lead contain in the metal). Ready for the primer for the Black side and going to polish the other side for a high shine, if possible.

so just wondering and can ye show some pictures of the finished set. here is my set, not bad for a first attempt.

Haha that's really nice. Once I tried making a chess set out of wood, and let me tell you something, it's really difficult to cut. But anyways, I think your set is really nice.👍🏼👍🏼good job!

Thanks Naughts-1. wood. i thought about it once but wouldnt have the skills for the detail in the pieces. lots of cheap 3d printers out there, so could see some interesting concepts for the different pieces and some custom sets.
