i think thats a bit of a low-ball, i know ppl who only spend one hour a day and so they are stuck at a rating of 900. i guess ur a bit of an exception

its not rly about my rating, its more about how i can study more efficiently and if people really need to spend so long to improve (on one of my other forums ppl said u gotta put 8 hours a day into chess which is insanity)

plus, i feel like if i don't spend at least 4 hours playing chess im not doing enough for the day

Don't go playing chess like playing bullet or do puzzle battles. That's not smart. What I mean in 'smart' is you should play classical games or solve hard puzzles or sit at a corner reading books, that's the way to improve

i play classical games, solve many hard puzzles (my puzzle rating is proof), but i don't read chess books very much

You can try spending an hour solving compositions... 2 hour playing rapid/blitz games... another hour reading a chapter of a good book... And I think it's enough.

Dont play G30 much.

Go play 3- 10 mins pace.

You need thousands of games experience to play toe to toe against 2000+.

Yeah, but those puzzles aren't really as hard as 'compositions'.
