Do you prefer open positions or closed positions?

It depends on what my opponent opens up with as well because I prefer imbalance positions for counter play and opportunities. I find drawn or symmetrical games very annoying. If I had it my way, I prefer to play in the open since I am a Sicilian and English opening player.
I've been very studious lately in being positional, flexible and versatile with my play but I still struggle with closed positions on playing the correct move order and critical pawn breaks.

Yeah balanced positions what are symmetrical are so annoying!

I prefer unbalanced semi-open positions... such as those found in the Sicilian Najdorf or Scheveningen.
id rather play open because Im a better tactical player than I am positionally
Yeah open is a lot more tactical!
Semi closed, and positional.
Because that's where my opponents seem to make the most mistakes.
Yeah I also like semi open!

closed always.
You prefer closed positions, but you always fianchetto.
what is that supposed to mean? They all end up closed anyways.

closed always.
Have you tried fianchettoing your Queen instead of your Bishop? It's awesome.

In closed positions, fianchettoed bishops usually don't have straight lines.

Semi closed, and positional.

When it's conserning me... I prefer the position in which I know what to do... how to play further.. after first moves.
What difference is between closed and semi-closed Chess positons l don't know.
