Ive played a lot, and - though most decent players say otherwise - I am sure it has improved by vision and speed of thinking:)
Does Bullet Chess Help Improve Quick Thinking?

Well, maybe in the beginning it does. e.g. going from not knowing how the pieces move to a rating of ~1000 or 1200 (USCF) may involve improving logical thinking, visualization, things like this. But moving on from the basics, 99% of skill a player builds will be chess-specific.

Well, I have someone who says yes, and someone who says no.....Which is it?
Well gee whiz!; I ain't never seen sum'n like that before.

I sense an internet agument brewing....
I doubt there will be any aguments on this forum.

I doubt that bullet chess does help at all with playing strength at slow time controls ( tournament chess). However I think it helps with improving at blitz. As you see from my ratings, I'm a weak blitz player (blitz rating 200 lower than standard rating), but my experience is that after some bullet games the 3-5 minutes you have in a blitz game seem much longer ...

Bullet isn't normal chess, so it cannot possibly help your game. It is a contest of who can move fastest without getting mated. There is skill involved in bullet, it just isn't chess skill.
Of course it can help you feel good about yourself when you are too lazy/indifferent to invest in playing serious chess. :)
I would imagine it does, which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.
