No. They use similar but slightly different methods and lichess starts everyone at 1500, while Chess.com starts people at various levels from 400 to 2000, based on a self assessment.
Long story short. Lichess ratings for most players are consistently several hundred points higher than chess.com ratings.

Yeah, and it feels like chess.com ratings are way closer to actual fide ratings - yet a bit inflated.

As in would a 1,200 on Lichess be a 1,200 on Chess.com?
