Tiger is right in this regard, and my experience is that chess is a lot more fun and creative when drunk.. You just probably won't win anything ^^

depends on your opponent's situation, too... maybe if s/he has drank more, you have chances to win
there's an interesting drinking-chess variation, whenever you take, you have to drink as much shots as the value of the piece you have taken... 
This is not a chess set for people with a small drinking problem. Its a set for drinkers that have a small chess problem

drunk blitz is the very best, but your opponent needs to be similarly situated - playing drunk on the live server will just tank your rating (not that it really matters) and make the chat window WAY TOO TEMPTING. ....and then someone will post a forum topic about you "kellypk called me a peacock fart, and I'm telling on her!"

I used to play drunk chess with friends and strip chess with gf (wife now) when I was young. I hope I'm not mixing memories here...

Both players drank during the Alekhine-Capablanca match....and smoked too, if I'm not much mistaken.....I could get used to that kind of leisurely tournament experience.
My guess is Capa was more into ladies and tango.
Now THESE guys can play chess 
For some reason I had images of the Druken master fighting on a life size board of chess. I really don't know why I expected that when I came onto this board.
I don't drink, but I recommend that each player drink the same amoutn at the same time in order to keep things fair.
My question is this: What does a 3 and a half hour game with drinking look like?
Its NOT pretty.

To keep it fair, there's more than the amount of alcohol to consider... except if your're talking about identical clones playing vs eachother xD
So, when should I lay down my phone! 6 pack, 12 pack , never! lol
