I played 1.d4 for most of my life, but only recently switched to 1.e4 because I have d4 simplified into a system (without c4) that may be good in a pinch to play it safe but provides no real growth as a chess player.
E4 lover or D4 hater? :)

It depends but I hate E4 because of it's cliche and D4 I have a new opning that works well! The E4 opening works for me just as long as it's a gambit or agressive line.
My hatred for d4 runs so deep that I have been known to move the pawn to e4 (this only works with OTB games)
Don't love e4,don't hate d4.
