Emoticon of ukraine flag = give up, you stupid

Recently, many people who are new to chess tell me the same story - that when they play as guests on chess.com and made huge or stupid mistakes, their opponents sent them an emoticon with the Ukrainian flag. Did someone have the same experience? Everybody knows that Ukrainian flag is emoticon, which was added on chess.com after Russia starts military operation. If it is used as a call that sounds like “give up, you idiot” isn't it stupid to have it on chess.com? Because it is not support Ukraine, but it is used in a completely different way.

Hmm.

An unusual problem.

I would ask your friends to send a screenshot to support@chess.com.

Some people will whine about anything.

Some people will write just to write. If you don't support Ukraine - you don't support USA.

I guess I thought they would want to have some verification that it was a real problem.

it's not a problem - it's just a situation that has happened to a few people I know. I'm not sure they will do something about it, they used guest profiles when it happened, and it was strange for me all this story. My question was about emoticon with the Ukrainian flag, because this emotion usage have happened only in such a strange situation. During my games, no one else never uses this emotion.

"написал", ey? Well, there are two countries where we use "писать" but one of them would probably not use "special operation". Oh well, carry on random german chess player.

" Russia starts military operation."

War. Use proper words to describe reality. Russia started war and is killing civilians.
Also linguistic mistakes in your english sound more like russian native speaker.

Can we have fake accounts and trolls banned?

StumpyBlitzer

If this gets political it will get locked. Thanks all

A flag is just a flag. Your interpretation of meaning and your feeling is causing your problem.

rafalzonk

Also I would like to know which players are sending ukrainian flags to this poor german russian, if his last game with another human was two years ago.

I mean, really, fake accounts should be treated like bots: with no mercy.

this poor german russian,

How do you know he is part Russian? Remmy is a French and Swiss German name.

Language mistakes typical for Russians.
"Military operation" instead of war
"написал" instead of "schrieb"

I might be wrong of course, but there are too many hints to not be suspicious.

Mattew

Because his language is Russian. Not a real proof tho.

Mattew

Or maybe he's just a german guy in Russia. Again, no politics

The most obvious should be the automatic "написал" in the reply, that means his interface on this site is in Russian. I assumed that Ukrainian also use "написал" but now that I think about it, it should be "напiсал" instead, right?

Mostly, this is seen on account who claim to be from non-english countries but instead of their native language, they use this site in english. Not impossible but strange. But are you going to tell me that someone who don't speak Russian use the interface because the characters are more pleasing to the eyes?!

And this is also how I know that you, rafalzonk, is polish:  "napisał"

Technically, it's not a war.

Excuse me?
So what will we call a situation when one country's army invades onether country, kills its citizens and tries to occupy its territory?

I am surprised you want this locked. As a Scot, aren't you concerned about your Independence too?

I don't think he's really a Scot, he had a different flag up until recently.

Let’s not discuss politics here…thanks
