Engine Aesthetics

Yes Chess.com has their move grading system (Brilliant, Great Move, etc.) but should (or could) the chess engines themselves perhaps be programmed to assign a higher evaluation to the more aesthetically pleasing of two or more equally powerful moves, mainly referring to forced checkmates?

Take this position for example:

Here white has two mates in one.  Either 31. Qxh7# or 31. Nf7#.  Normally I prefer to checkmate with the highest possible material gain but in this case I could not resist the partial smothered mate involving the pin on black's queen.

I guess with the very definition of engines being that they are designed to solely calculate the overall strength of moves basically answers my original question but it would be neat if perhaps someday the engines could incorporate aesthetic beauty into their evaluations.

Is it considered smothered mate if there is an empty square adjacent to the checkmated king, albeit an illegal flee square?

Man it isn't smothered mate and partial smothered mate is nonsens.

So this is a................mate.
