favorite chess opening.

There's different openings as white and black. If I'm countering 1. e4 though, I like the Caro-Kann and the Sicilian Defense.

I like Accelerated Dragon and Evans Gambit, but I never play them because they are too hard for me :(

The Italian game is awesome, and if black plays two knights defense then white can play Ng5. If black plays d5 then white plays exd5, Nxd5, then white plays Nxf6 and after Kxf6, white plays Qf3+. This opening is called the Fried Liver opening. Just don't ask me who named it.

Yeah it is an amazing opening but most of the time fried liver works with only those who don’t have much experience in chess. With more proficient players this tactic doesn’t work and you have to fight a tough game both positional and tactical.

It backfires when you’re opponent know how to play the opening as black and you know only one way to play this opening. But if you are playing it as black and know how to play and your opponent doesn’t. You just won a lottery.

Personally, I really like the Caro Kann, as I recently learned it, and been getting some nice positions from it. Another I love is the London System. Really solid, pretty simple. Just like the Caro Kann. The Hippopotamus Defense though has got to be one of the best ones I've seen for being relatively simple, yet stupidly solid. I've had great success with it in the past, so if I had to choose one, that would be it. Though I do not have a clear favorite of these. Plus, I'm trying to learn other openings too. So my opinion is a bit flexible right now.
