What is it ?

A forced mate is when one side is driven into a checkmate because they have little or no choice in the moves they can make. Look at todays puzzle which is a forced mate in six moves. Black has little or no choice in moves to make and every move leads to being checkmated. That's called a "forced mate" or white can "force mate" in six moves or less. In other words, white forced black into a checkmate.

FORCE MAT

SacrificeEnPassanter
what about a “forced move checkmate” where one side makes it so the other only has certain legal move(s)to checkmate them.
For example, Black puts White in a position where White’s only legal move(s) are to checkmate Black.

i actually thought about that and i made a position something like this:

r2k3r/1p3p1p/1p1p1Np1/2q5/p7/K5PB/PN1Q3P/3Q2Nn w - - 0 1

just import the fen into board editor so Qxd6+ (best)

Qxd6+ (best) then

Qxd6# (forced)
