Does anyone know how to format chess books for publishing?

or is there a tool for this?

You should check if there is a LaTeX package for that. I wouldn’t be surprised. Then use Overleaf if you need an editor.

Nice! I have never used overleaf but it looks similar to the other latex editors. I wonder if there is someone or a group of people that could format a book for you with the chess package.
