I have played Fortnite since I was a little kid and I love it!!! Chess sucks compared to the thrilling gameplay of Fortnite!!!
Fortnite > Chess

It's kinda funny, really, cause they're both as bad as each other in terms of communities. Fortnite is full of immature kids, and chess is full of elitist tossers. The enemy of my enemy can be a total prick as well, etc. etc. Given one or the other, though, I'll reluctantly pick chess. At least it's slightly intellectual.

Good point. It seems nowadays that no community is really all that great. But I would argue chess.com is full of elitist tossers and immature kids!

Haha, that's funny. Nice that you open the thread with a joke

wonder how many fortnite players have actually seen 'battle royale', or even understand that they're playing a video game that was based off of a movie far older than they are?
chess > smash 64 > nes & snes library > fortnite.

You're a joke.

Of course fortnite is the better game. Chess requires real skills.
You think chess requires skill? Not really. Of course it takes time to learn how the pieces move and some general strategy, but after that, it's just a lot of logical thinking and pattern recognition, which many people have. If you can think through some difficult math problems, then you can think through a chess position. Meanwhile, there are SOOOO many other sports that require hundreds of times of more effort than chess. Chess is just a thinking game, nothing more spectacular than that.

Yep. And fortnite's not one of 'em.

Really? Are you better at chess, or are you better at Fortnite?

then why are there Grandmasters who know how the peices move, and there are noobs that also know how the peices move, but they suck, so how does that work?
