Hi @darachnid! I don't have an answer to your question, but I want to purchase the program myself, and I can't seem to find an answer: does it work offline? Or, to be more precise: does it launch without an Internet connection? Maybe, if started offline, some features are not accessible without it, but overall it works?. Thank you in advance for your reply!

Yes it works offline. If you have a megadatabase downloaded, then you will practically have all the functionality without internet
How do I tell Fritz to stop providing this dialogue box....
...and more importantly, this commentary....
I am trying to streamline a system where I can save the variations I calculated (against computer) with this tool. So far the best method I can come up with is to copy and paste the each variation I calculate into a chessbase game. however, continuously having to delete all commentary is quite a pain.
