Dear It has been more the two years I'm blocked on a rating between 800 and 900 points. How can I improve my performance reaching over 1000 points cluster?

MonkeyH

I would suggest chess mentor, everything you need to know is in there!

I would sugget doing a lot more tactics, and when you solve them don't worry about time and take time to examine the board. When you get to 1000+ in tactics, from your current tactics rating ( 800-900) you will most likely be able to break the 1000 rating barrier in standard and blitz too.

Just don't give away pieces and capture your opponent pieces when he left them en-prise.

You're probably over 1000 now. Blitz rating's are just tough.

The real problem you have is you are not playing slow games.

I know you play 10-0 time control games. However, It really is not long enough.

The whole point of playing slow games is for you to fully soak in everything your opponent is doing. As well as what you are doing.

I want you to challenge yourself.

I want you to play a 30-0 time control game against a random person with similar ranking as yours.

I want you to spend 20 mins on the first 10 moves.

I want you to literally force yourself to make 1 move every 2 mins.

During that 2 mins of time you are using.

I want you to look at the move you are planning to make and see if anything can attack it.

I than want you to look at your opponent last move. To see what they are attacking and doing. I want you to see if you can win any of there pieces with there last move.

If 20 mins is not off your clock by the time the 10th move comes I want you to resign. Automatically disqualified.

Once you have reached the 10th move with 20 mins off your clock. You can continue at what ever pace from there and see how the game turns out.

You have been in the ranking 800-900 for almost 2 years.

Which is 730 days!

43,800 hours!

2,628,000 mins!

Surely you can indulge my request for 30 mins? You have nothing to lose and you have already invested over a few millions mins.

Thanks. Very Good tips. Regarding what X_Player_j_x proposed me io thinks it is reasonable. Yet 30 min can be a bit Boring if on line. But I will try and follow your tip. Moreover I would like to play with you as we'll once. Best Pp

Are you serious?? Boring?

I have something to say on this.

I used to be a blitz/Bullet player and played 15m at slowest. Now I force myself to think and now I get in time pressure in 45m 30s bonus games!

Your thought process in chess is much more important than your knoledge. I can vouch for it.

I have gained over 800 tactics trainer points in 6 months, and also 500 USCF points primarily by taking my time and consistantly changing and improving how I think.

What X_PLAYER_J_X said. If you get bored while playing 30 min chess, you are not serious about improving. Do all the things X_PLAYER lists in his post properly and it will take up the time. Here is another take on what to do before each move: http://becomingachessmaster.com/2015/04/09/how-to-choose-a-chess-move/

Yes Sorry Boring It's not the appropriate word. I love chess and I spend hours, daily. I was just saying that for long game I would prefers do it physically, offline. I used chess.com only through my smartphone, exploiting the quick pauses during the day. But this could be a limit. But I got yuor point, and I think it make sense when you say chess is not only knowledge but way of thinking, and this can not be developed through quick game

Exactly

However, once it is developed than you can begin playing quicker games.

So in a way you are playing slower to help you increase your thinking process. So when you have less time you can think alot faster.
