I gotta say chess.com is better, because you can actually talk to people. Chess kid is good for kids under 10, but chess.com is definitely an all-around better site.

You can't do most things until you buy the gold membership which is more expensive then it is on chess.com

If you are coaching a younger child chesskid.com. If you are a younger kid who has a parent / teach / coach then chesskid.com. Otherwise chess.com
