Help! Why could not I use my pawn to kill bishop in this move?

You aren't allowed to put yourself in check. It's against the rules.
So exd6 is an illegal move, because you would be putting your own King in check by his Queen.
Sorry for asking you angina . I’m new to chess. I understand that I can’t allow my king in checkmate but I don’t see the move that the queen will checkmate my king. Can you tell me how his queen will move to checkmate my king? Thank you again.
That would leave your own King in check by his Queen.
