which videos do you recommend, he has lots on youtube
John Bartholomew Gets A+ As Chess Coach
He recommended the Chess Fundamentals and Climbing The Rating Ladder to me. I imagine that is a universal recommendation. Chess Fundamentals covers a lot of mistakes we tend to make as we progress in chess. Learning them early will only help you. In Climbing The Rating Ladder, he plays lower ranked opponents, which for me was extremely helpful; primarily because he is analyzing people who I would likely play. I am not playing Grandmasters, therefore, a lot of books and videos don't apply to moves lower rated players would make. It is good to watch because he breaks down why the moves they are making are not the best, and yet you learn how to respond to it.
Hope this helps,
Mike

I agree with you. I have looked at a lot of different tutorials, but he as a unique way of breaking down complex ideas into bite-size chunks that are easy for amateurs to devour. Watching his videos has changed my approach to chess and the way in which I see the board. I'm looking forward to any of his future releases.
