general rules for pawns in endgame

Hey i am having trouble with endgames, especially if its with a king and some pawns. Are there any golden rules i can read up upon? (im sure there are but where?)
And are there any good videos on this site that focus on it? Ive tried to find them, but i cant.
So often i have a better pawn structure (or at least i think so) but mess it up bad and end up loosing/tie

i see the diagram where white has three pawns and black two on the kingside. my advise would be to have the candidate free pawn in front. in this case the f pawn. so a nice start is 1.f4. though activating king is also important, so move him to the front. but keep thinking that your f pawn should be in front of the pawns or equal, not behind!

Bahr's Rule, rule of the square, two vs. one on one side generally draw, three vs. two or more win, etc.  So many rules and they need to be aided by calculation.  Watch out for stalemating tricks and use zugzwang!  Don't be afraid to sacrifice pawns in certain situations to obtain the opposition and study simple triangulation positions too.
