Get better at OTB Chess

I started playing chess 10 months ago, and am 1600 rapid on chess.com, I am about to play an OTB tournament in 2 months, but find it difficult to find moves at OTB, because I am used to play on laptop. I also don't have anyone to play OTB chess with. Any suggestions how I could maybe improve the vision..

It might depend on the chessboard, the lighting, and the angle of which you play. You can try playing against bots and mirror them over the board for practice.

even I felt like that but if you go OTB you find it easier than online chess.

Play more otb. I takes time getting used to. Last year, I was 1600 rated otb (and I performed like one!) and 2300 online.

Now, I am still 2300 online, but 2000 otb. You just have to get used to it. I would recommend outside of tournament play to set up tactical puzzles on a real board.

Another option for OTB practice if you don’t have someone to play. Play online slow rapid games and set the pieces up on a chessboard, and only look at your device when you are making moves.

Looking at a board 2-D versus 3-D is different. Practice will be useful.
