Got banned for resigning?

I just got restricted for 5min for resigning a few times in a row. Right after I do it it gives me a message warming me that abort/disconnect will cause a penalty. I'm assuming it's some sort of a glitch in the new system?

you should be thrown in jail

heyRick

You weren't resigning, you were aborting games. That's not allowed.

Martin_Stahl

You weren't banned but restricted in how quickly you can start your next game. Play your games to their logical conclusion and limit aborts and resigning at the start of games when you lose the right to abort for doing that excessively.

No I got banned right after I resigned a game. I didn't resign for no reason either, I lost my rook.

Martin_Stahl

If you were banned you would be able to post. Or log on.

Well A) At your level, what difference does a rook make? B) I assume you mean the knight fork on d7 which you actually didn't lose a rook, you gained a piece with Qc3 threatening mate and then Rfd1

You seem to resign very quickly, even when up material. In your last loss where he played RxN, Bxn, Qxn still left you up the exchange. Unless of course you lost on time. I can't tell on mobile

I resign when the position seems unfavorable (to my best estimate) or where I see the game is just a drag to play. In any case that's not the point.

You resigned in a situation where you were actually UP the exchange and your opponent had no threats. You just resigned because he captured a piece which you could have captured back.
