No, because that would be really stupid, and expensive. I've been angry about losing a game, but not to the point of breaking stuff.
Have you been so frustrated after a game that you punched and broke your laptop screen?

No, because that would be really stupid, and expensive. I've been angry about losing a game, but not to the point of breaking stuff.

Smashed up my mouse in the past when "Age of Empires" was going badly, and I'd been drinking.
On another beered-up occasion I aimed a kick at my fridge, lost my balance and fell backwards onto my toolbox - breaking my coccyx. Usually I'm victorious in my fights against inanimate objects, but I lost that one.

I'm so glad you didn't take it out on your opponent! Perhaps not as gratifying, but definitely cheaper, sometimes holding your fist up in the air and shouting is cathartic in such a situation. (Maybe not in a Library.)

Not in chess, and not on a computer, although a C program I was trying to debug 30+ years ago nearly got that reaction. Do not drink and debug at the same time.
Once playing golf I hurled a pitching wedge after a particularly poor shot... into a tree where it was lodged and lost forever, mocking me every time I came to that hole. Do not drink and play golf at the same time.
I quit drinking 27 years ago. Still play lousy chess and occasionally, lousy golf. Not angry anymore either... hmmm, go figure...

My last drink was over a year ago. Dont miss it.

Well, I destroyed a cuff-link when banging my fist on a table - in a chess.com live Blitz game. A case of halluciantion and not calculating correctly.
No at that point it is a very good idea to play a different game for a while. I switch over to playing Poker from time to time ( for points only tho lol ).

There are those moments in life... Going commando the first time in a decade and ending up in hospital, being asked to remove one's pants
Today, I really blew it big time. No mouse (costs me time) and then this near the end!! Am bathing in shame and remorse. https://www.chess.com/live/game/2744117061

I do cuss the screen sometimes, but I am usually mad at myself for screwing up. I had a good plan here, but I let him slip away. When I looked at the analysis, it was so simple. I missed a mate in 1. He turned it on me and actually beat me. Those stick with you for a while. Its like all that time working on tactics and you can't finish someone off when it counts....geez. You either get better or quit playing.

It happen's to us all at some point I think. Unlucky with that game fischerrook... I think we just need to learn to pay full attention at all times. I have a problem with rushing moves when I think everything is under control.
I'm never giving up this game. NEVER NEVER NEVER
Or broke something else in anger and frustration.
I have.
