HELP US! CHESS IN PHILIPPINES IS DYING

Eddie/resignowornate, I think MJ/Marljon is right, you have to send a letter at PCF or PSC or Chess Agency in the Philippines.
Wala tayong magagawa dito sa chess dot com.

Chess is DYING... in PHILIPPINES. We have been deprived and abandoned by our POLITICAL FEDERATION. No one is brave to broadcast the dis appointments and frustrations. Our GMs have been abused financially and morally. Why do you think Wesley So left Philippines? This is not because of better opportunity but because of relentless officials / politicians. They hoard everything; Money, opportunity and supports.
Imagine the battle of the GM (prestigious tourney) in Philippines was an EPIC fail. GM Joey Antonio won the tourney with insulting 1st prize. How much? Almost $250!!! The Fed says and always saying, no support received from big sponsors. The fact we have a budget from government.
National Chess Federation of the Philippines is absolutely NON SENSE. They know nothing but money!
Now chess. com community help us to share and spread this. This is our passion, this is our game. Our chess future is extinct. Our chess future is endangered.
My co FILIPINO! Where are you? We need your voices. There are so much issues that we need to raise. We need a new set of officials. We need a new leadership. We need vision and clear pathway. We are lost. We are abandoned.
HELP US GOD!
Welcome to the real world, son. There's nothing wrong.
Garry Kasparov just said the truth. Just saying.
"At the end of the day, it's all about money." Garry Kasparov.

Not only chess players or chess masters left the Philippines because of better opportunity. Many people there left the Philippines for better opportunity.
To tell you the truth, I'm one of them. I came to the USA in 1970 from the Philippines for better opportunity. Now, I'm retired and living here in the USA.

PuttingFromTheRough, please support your statement that the Philippines has the lowest average IQ in ASEAN countries.
Chess should not die in any country it's a great opportunity to meet new people and play a great game especially between two people from different countries

PuttingFromTheRough you're very rough, in saying that. Not surprising you don't have friends. You do not have a country either, maybe you are ashamed to fly your flag or your country must be ashamed of you.

The problem is with all the hoarding that has been going on in the Philippines. They even hoard rice and raise the price. Unfortunately, the Philippines has the lowest average IQ of any ASEAN nation.
filipinos are everywhere.. what is your country

Indeed. As a Filipino-American, I can only imagine the hardship. True, this may not be the proper forum but I think talking about it may be helpful, informative as other countries face similar problems from time to time. Even here, in the states, as there have been periods of chess droughts. Players from other countries would come here only to find financial hardship, even though they were world-class.

As things have evidently turned around now days, it's not far fetched to say we may face the same situation down the road. I pray not.
