It would be nice if the king is highlighted when this is in check. highlight when king is in check.

Ya I liked that in lichess it took me a while to notice checks at first

@chess.com team: would you implement that??

JanBargeman

Hi, yes please!

CraigIreland

I'm struggling to understand why people want this. I'm not a very strong player but I know when I'm in check! Do you guys really need assistance with that part of the game?

JanBargeman

It's just nice happy.png. And I'm someone who switches between lichess and chess.com and lichess has it and it's really quite nice. Especially in quicker time controls it can be useful.

Camp2021

It is nice. Sometimes I waste time thinking of moves, then to discover i am in check.

PLSS I BEG YOU PLSSSSS ADD THIS

BlueHen86

Unnecessary and probably bad to add this. Players should look at the board and see what is happening. If you don't notice that you are in check you aren't seeing the board well enough.

S2NeoS2

I think it's only a great idea in those games against bot options, so new players can understand the game a little more. But definitely not in normal games against people, you should know when you're king is check

BUT IN REAL OTHER BOARD GAMES YOUR OPPONENT SAYS CHECK WHEN THEY CHECK YOU

In the move list on chess.com, the notation says "+" when you are in check.
