Hikaru Nakamura is often spotted drinking Redbull.

Has anyone noticed any improved chess performance associated with it?
Personally, I've noticed certain food combinations seem to contribute to my games.
I haven't quite put my finger on anything, but I think calorie intake does seem to help me...
Kind of wondering what you guys think from your own experiences.

I have played tournaments while fasting.  I have played while eating from a buffet.  I have played while doing ketogenics.  My worst performances were when i was NOT fasting, or doing keto.

LeeEuler

He is sponsored by red bull, so wouldn't look too much into that.

The red bull can is probably filled with water. https://lichess.org/@/NoelStuder/blog/eat-like-a-champion--nutrition-in-chess/GSrm5TcL

He says "Some of you might say: but there are many sportsmen sponsored by RedBull that drink it during their performance. But that is wrong. This is only a marketing stunt. I know firsthand that these RedBulls are mostly filled with Water. Both RedBull and their sportspeople know this is a horrible drink to consume during high-performance activity. But Money rules the World..."

I definitely think better after drinking some Red Bull. It has often helped me pull out of tilt.

That said it has to be used in addition to and not instead of a healthy diet.
