I tried this in the openings thread. Someone played the hippo opening with me and I’ve been intrigued ever since. Can someone teach me this? And how to not get suffocated against it? Tx!

The hippo is a complicated opening in the sense that you could easily get suffocated with lack of space if you don't have an active plan and if you aren't eventually going to fight for the center with strategic pawn breaks.
