I think the world champion should get to defend the title in their home country. I think it's the first time that Anand is going to play for the championship in India.
Home Field Advantage?

In my opinion home field advantage is compareable to Capablanca's theorem, Q+N > Q+B. Ceteris paribus if all else being equal that tandem is roughly equivalent to home field advantage in football. Granting 55% chance vs 45%.

Ceteris paribus = if all else being equal
In that case the advantage is trivial enough to be said it's comparable to home field advantage as in football.

And now you're translating your English!
Write something productive instead of this nonsense.
Perhaps you don't have better things to do
I've often heard people mention "home field advantage" when it comes to various competitions, be it football, baseball, basketball, etc... so how about chess? Wouldn't Anand have the home field advantage since the match is in his hometown? I'm surprised FIDE allowed that to happen - It would make more sense to hold the match in a neutral location. And if Anand wins it just allows some people to say "He had an advantage playing in his hometown", taking away credit for that win. Thoughts?
