How accurate is this test, if at all? ELO Rating Test

This site will estimate your elo rating - This has been posted before but something just doesn't add up with my score.

So is it too easy? Was your score accurate to your true rating?

p.s. Yes I am looking for some validation that I have some sort of inclination to this game so that I can justify my addiction. 

I got around 2000 last time I tried. I'm not that good.

I think a lot of people think it is an acronym. I didn't learn myself until about a month ago tht it was someones name. It does look like it should be an acronym.

I took a quick look at your ratings. I think you may not have any strong inclination toward chess or even any real talent at it.

It is quite difficult for me to fit live games in these days let alont try and schedule one with someone 1/2 way around the world.. If you are interested in an Online Game, that would be fine. Just send the challenge.

Not accurate, those tests rarely are. The best I have found on that is a list of OTB rated players posting their OTB rating and online ratings but that isn't very accurate either for various reasons...best is to just play OTB and see!

Weird how it gets close for some and way off for others.

I just went through it with Fritz - 1670

Perhaps I set something wrong, I don't know. But even so, that seems pretty weak or inaccurate.

i got 1490, and i`m about 1250.

I wrote a paper comparing the scalar Elo rating system with a two dimensional measure of performance and would be very grateful for your comments. It suggests that there is a built in weakness in the Elo system because it relies on scoring.
