How can I dynamically switch between mobile and desktop? I can't find a good answer :(

I cannot figure how to resume a game with the computer that I started on desktop on my phone, and vice versa. If I start a game on my phone, I would to be able to participate on desktop. If I start a game on desktop, I would like to participate on phone. Also, when playing mobile, I am being told by the computer which spaces my pieces can move to, even though I have turned off every setting in custom settings. Any suggestions? Please. I'm already moving forward from Lichess, which I really disliked. I can't ask for help on Reddit without my thread being removed. I literally don't know how to fix this without tons of research sigh....

Hmm, what type of game?

You haven't played a game here for four years. You played only daily games.

If you play daily games again, you should be able to pull up the games where it is your move on either a desktop or on one of the mobile apps.

A game with the computer. Not real people.

I cannot pull a game with the computer that I have been playing on 1 platform on the other.

Also, there is no share button on mobile like this article from chess.com is purporting. I have chess.com app up to date and my phone is running the newest build on Android.

Computer games can't be shared until they are saved. They aren't automatically saved unless you run "Game Review".

Once you save them, you should be able to share the pgn.

That article details how to share games that have been finished. I am not talking about finished games. I am talking about ongoing games.

Honestly, I've been looking for an answer for a while. I don't think there is a clear cut way. It seems like I might be able to bring a mobile game to desktop by copying the png, to google keep e.g, then pasting it into analysis on desktop, but there is no way to bring a desktop game to mobile. I can only speak on behalf of me vs a computer cuz I'm trying to get better and that's why I'm playing against the computer.

It sucks that a platform as big as chess.com doesn't associate your games with your account. It sounds like it's kept alive via a cookie or session token rather than through the user's account. Of course, I could suggest chess.com incorporate this into their platform, but I'm sure they already considered it and decided not to for some reason. It's 2023, there's no way they haven't hear of associating web tools with the account that's used to execute them.

Unfortunately the only other reputable player is Lichess. I don't like Lichess so I'll be sticking with chess.com for now until I find a better platform. Hopefully there is a chess platform out there that allows you to play games seamlessly across devices.

Well. You can take any game from your archive and finish against the computer, using any bot you want.

You can use a web browser app on your phone.
