There is this really nice little app called Chess Position trainer. You can tell it what openings you want to learn and it drills you until you get it.
You could try saying to your friends something like if I buy lunch will you play me starting from a specific opening.

In Lucas Chess you can play against different entgines and set it up to play certain openings. Also has some good tactics puzzles included in the ap.

Sorry Jack. Its not a hard process, but will take a lot of typing to explain.
Recently came across listudy.org, which does exactly what you want. And it's completely free!
I don’t know about all these apps & whatnot. The good old method sounds good, which is just get open the MCO book and play over all the lines in that opening over and over, and then maybe get a database of traps and miniatures in that opening, play through it a hundred times. I’ve never done all that myself, but I bet it works pretty good.
I want to learn to defend against a certain opening (English c3) as black. Is there a way I can play a computer or engine to just constantly play that opening against me?
