How do emails work?

So, you register an account using an email. Say a troller takes a random guy's email and starts creating several accounts using it and spams. The poor person will receive tons of emails without knowing what is going on, and his email will probably be blocked from creating new accounts. Is there anything that stops trollers from doing this?

For example, people's emails are sometimes listed in online tournament rosters, and you tubers who have their email listed could also have this happen to them. There are countless examples.

You can only create one specified account with an email. Hence, I don't think it would be a problem.

You can't post if you don't activate your account when sent the activation link.

i recommend that CC makes a 2 factor authentication as that would be much safer for accounts to not go in these problems even thou they "rarely" occur

@erik has posted in the past that MFA isn't likely going to happen for regular accounts. It isn't worth the additional support requirements involved. I guess it's possible that could change, but if it ever did, it would likely be premium only.

Does this mean that diamond members have 2 factor authentication?

No, diamond members don't.
