Hello, I tried to archive a couple games but I need an app to be able to do this? I'm not sure sure how to any of this. I was wondering if anyone could give me a step-by-step way to accomplish archiving? Thanks!

The games played in Daily and Live here are already Archived.

Do you mean offline? If so, you can download the PGNs of your games that store in a flat text file, but you would probably want to import those into a chess database program of some type for viewing.

Ok thanks. I mean, is there any way to create an archive folder on here and save the games I want to that folder? Like, if I want to save all Ruy Lopez opening games to a certain folder, how do I do that?

Not currently. The site is working on a Library feature where that will be possible. Based on some staff posts, that is likely being released sometime this year

Ok thanks. Whats the best way to go about saving the games in a flat text file and whats a good program to save them in?

PGN format is the standard and those are just plain text files.

You can download all your games played on chess.com in PGN format which can be read by any chess program. I use and recommend Chessbase 14 but you can use any of the Chessbase Fritz programs because they also come with a powerful database feature that allows you to sort your games by openings, themes, tactics, strategy, endgames etc. If you're on a budget check the internet auction website for a copy of Fritz 12 or later ;-)
