Hello!

I'm not the most experienced chess player but I really love it.

I was just wondering if you could give any tips on how to beat the level 6 computer on this website?

Thank you!

i am new to chess. i used to play for years as a kid but gave it up 20 years ago. ive been playing computer on here for a few weeks now 4 practice. i have not been beaten by any of the computers below level 6 and have mated level 5 pretty easily multiple times. level 6 is a nightmare i cant crack it however im improving its now taking 60 moves to check mate me after ive taken most of its pieces. hopefully will crack it soon. keep at it. the difficulty level goes up exponentially

But more seriously, if you follow the opening principals

And do your best to not lose material (try not to lose even a pawn) then I think you'll be playing solidly enough that you can just wait for the computer to give away some material, and after that you can go for a win.

Notice even in my joke opening game, I didn't start attacking until after my rooks were connected on the back rank (I played 15.c4 to start opening lines).

In a real opening you will almost always complete development before move 15.

It doesn’t defend very well.
