If you are the website, your active game should show up when you get into the Live server again. If it is the only game it normally will load up, or it has in the past in my experience. If you managed to end up watching another game, both should show at the upper-right of the Live screen and you can select which game is active.

I cant get back to my game its a shame I was winning but I cant get back no matter how hard I try or matter what i clicked it was so sad seeing my winning go down the drain as I wait hopelessly for my time to run out so I can play another game again. this is so frustrating

Had this same problem, clicked on the ghost icon to set a flair and then lost my game "by abandonment" even though I premoved a move in response to my opponent's capture... 
This is a pretty nasty bug, same thing happened to me, did not get redirected back to the game
Not sure how this still isn't fixed. Happens too often

This happens in about 20% of my games. This site is so consistently terrible. Is there even a way to file a real bug report?

I bet this is also responsible for most "leavers"....
I'm also willing to bet that it's the same bug that causes you to go to an old game analysis repeatedly sometimes when you try to start a new one. The code has some idea of what the "current page" is or something braindead like that and it gets set wrong.
PLEASE add a "games in progress" tab or something.
Yeah, literally have no way of getting back to my active game after accidentally logging out. Kind of sad they haven't implemented an obvious way to return to the game.

Just happened to me as well, I was King, Rook and 4 pawns to his King, touched the wrong icon and bingo, can't get back to my game.
Poor tactics on my opponents behalf, he was just winding his clock down as he had an extra 10 minutes up on me but he had no way of stopping me promoting a pawn to Queen....chess.com staff please fix this bug that doesn't allow one to get back into the game
how can you not address getting back to a game in progress. glad i am in my grace period for premium

Once upon a time if you were disconnected from your game it would abort and every time if you were a paying member, not anymore, it would also immediately provide a pop up and take you back to the game you were in, like it cared about you, you see it's the simple things like that, that make for a nice site and we all are feeling this pain.
I'm playing in arena right now. I clicked out of my game and have no idea how to get back to it!! It says I am playing a game but have no idea how to get back. HELP!
