Sorry if this is blatantly obvious, I'm very new to Chess.com. (Not new to Chess itself, just this website)
How do I get the NM rank in Chess.com?

Chess.com doesn't give you titles, it only displays them when you've earned one though another organisation, such as FIDE. The NM on Chess.com mostly likely refers to the title given by the US Chess Federation. If you got a NM title from another country, you'd need to check with support to see if it's recognised here.
Does Chess.com offer benefits for elite or titled players?

Basically all in the title. How would I go about getting the NM rank in Chess.com? Assuming I already have the necessary skills and achievements
The NM title is not a chess.com rank. Its a title you achieve through playing in OTB tournaments.

Chess.com definitely recognises the National Master title bestowed by national federations other than the USCF - in fact, I don't know of any countries that they wouldn't recognise, so long as the person can provide documented proof of their identity that Chess.com can verify with that federation.

Quick question; is there a requirement that a nation be recognized by the United Nations or the United States government for their national federation to count? After a hard-fought tournament against my collection of plush woodland creatures, I was bestowed with the title of Plush Master. As I'm also the head of the national federation of my land, can I get this title recognized and put on my name if I confirm this on a letterhead?

If you can get successful recognition from FIDE, I'm pretty sure Chess.com will be happy to follow suit - good luck with that!

Awesome, thank you! Seeing as Ilyumzhinov recently fell into some financial hardship, I think persuading him to accept our peaceful society might have just become significantly more affordable.

Great! Chess.com should also recognise problem composing titles given by the World Federation for Chess Composition. I'm totally unbiased in saying this, of course.
