Yes, I read that section on Chess.com after having lost my first and only King Of The Hill game.
But it doesn't go into detail as to what pieces are best to open up with to get my king safely to those specific squares (e4, d4, e5, d5).

my strategy is to get the king on the 2nd rank and wait it out until the endgame but idk cuz im trash

Recently, I inadvertently or mistakenly clicked on a King Of The Hill tournament on the tournaments list. I actually meant to click on the usual tournament I play which is the 5/0 Blitz Arena tournament. Although I've been a member here for over 6 years, I've only played the Rapid, Daily, Blitz, Computer, and Puzzles. I've known absolutely nothing about King Of The Hill. And when a game came up, within just a few moves, I immediately lost when my opponent moved his king up a few squares.
