In your blitz, and rapid games. You have had white more than black.
How does chess.com choose sides?
Thanks for the answers.
As you checked my recent matches you can see i played more on the black side, in the end its equal but lately im getting black more often...just asking if chess.com just randomly picks a side...whatever

And before that, you have had white more.

It's completely random although of course it's human nature to notice when you're getting more black than white. In the end it all evens out.

The system tries to balance each player. So it is very possible to get paired with a string of players that are more unbalanced than you are and need white to get closer to balanced, more than you do.
If you look through a couple of pages of your archive, you'll likely find similar strings of white.

How do I choose side playing against computer engine?
When you're selecting a bot, one of the options will be the color you play.

It's like baseball. If you're on the road, then you play as black. If you're at home, you play as white.

I am curious as to how the seeding works and color is chosen in tournaments.
Like many, I am better with white than I am with black. But in multiple recent tournaments, I have played higher ELO players as black, and I have played the two highest ELOs (back-to-back first/second round) in the entire tourney.
If you're gonna punish me by seeding me against the best opponents, that's one thing. But dang, now I have to play defense right out the gate?
Seems a bit odd. And its happened multiple times. Just curious.
Color allocation in tournaments here works just like random seeks as I understand it. The player most due black gets it, unless you've previously played the opponent in the time control, when you get the opposite color from the last game.
As the title says, how does chess.com choose which side you play?
It seems like I play one side on the white side and then a bunch of games on the black side.
And thats fine, but after a while it gets really annoying and yes then I abort the game and I really don't care about losing points. So how does this go and can I do something about it, that I at least get an even amount of white sides?
