Little Chess Partner is a little git. It's like a snotty little kid who's far to clever for his own good. I vote we get Rybka on it's strongest setting to play LCP and watch it run crying to it's mummy.

That, my friend, is precisely the problem.
My guess is 1050 USCF or 1400 chess.com based on a casual blitz game I just played. It didn't hang pieces, but it walked into a simple mate. It made an opening mistake four moves deep and strategically helped me by loosening its own kingside.
It's seems to ignore my moves. No matter how many pieces you have attacking it's castle it will aimlessly move it's bishop back and forth on the other side of the board.
right now I will play against it on hard mod, record my game and mabey post it here.

That is the samething I was thinking
I can play pretty well against players rated 1400-1600 and the Little Chess Partner has beaten me all but once on the medium setting. I was going to ask this question as well concerning medium. I think playing speed has a lot to do with it. As my speed increases I get worse and the computer is the same strength.
I find if you agressively attack the king LCP on "easy" falls pretty quickly.

Large Crazed Paratroopers. Very hard to beat in my opinion
it is hard to win pieces besides the king. i just go after the king. easy- go after king medium-just play good it will lose positionally hard- same as medium. i actually have trouble seeing the differences in the difficulties. funny story, i was losing on easy (cause i play blitz fast) and i saw that if my pawn was pushed up the board by the king i could checkmate him with a pawn and queen so i spent 6 moves doing an easily stoppible checkmate and i won
does anyone have any idea how good the little chess partner is on easy? Seems a little bit tougher than "easy" as far as a beginner is concerned I would think
