How impressive is a 600 rating in rapid on chess.com?

It's not bad if you play for fun but as I see your dream is to become gm considering that you have a long way to go.My dream was 1200 I reached and now I am 1300 and I am very happy about it!

My honest response without meaning any offence is: I don`t understand how a sub-1000 rating is even possible. A 600 rating would imply a severe lack of tactical awareness, visualisation and deductive reasoning skills combined with overall poor understanding of the game itself.

not good, above 1000 is good but keep trying

just reached 600 after I began to play this year at age 59. I´m such an idiot, I loose being in a great position by running into a fork. I love to play cause it tells me how focussed I am.

I’ve been stuck at 600-700 Eli for 2 years now. None of the lessons or puzzles seem to help me either. And I can never get enough time to do a 30 minute game. What do I do?

It's more impressive than 500 but a bit less impressive than 700. Im hoping that helps.

Study some books with a real board and pieces. Don't play speed chess while you're studying it because u won't have enough time to think enough to use what ur learning. If you're really trying to absorb what's in the book it'll take you months per book.

600 is not a bad rating

600 is terrible unfortunately. it probably means you hang tons of pieces a game
