Chess platforms in North Korea can be accessed by players via government-approved internet connections, offline chess software, or virtual private networks (VPNs). Remote play is permitted in certain international competitions under supervision. They could also use state-run networks or local chess clubs. Direct access is rare without special permissions or technical workarounds due to North Korea's restricted internet.

What is this, ChatGPT?

It's obviously just some guy who is not North Korean at all, but thinks it's funny to fly the NK flag. There are more than 10 000 of them.

Only chess.com staff know your location when you contact them

i agree.changing countries would only confuse us sometimes but it sometimes is like an act of mock or even disrespect to their country since he/her is not supporting that

Then again, there are some privacy issues and keeping anonymous about your country is really not very offensive, but if you want to keep privacy to yourself using "international" is better. And also just because people use a certain country for their profile does not mean they are mocking that country nor are they disrespecting em.
