I just now looked at your rating. It just depends how well rounded you are, and whether you find the book that is right for you.

Yeah I think your right, I also think it depends on the person and how much there willing to study

I would have done the bishop sac or queen check. Good job finding b4. I even did not catch that during your explanation.

im happy if i can gain 100 pts in a year

I can get it in a game, I started with 500 elo points, won 4 games and lost 1 (wasn't trying hard), 80% win rate.  More on this thread: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chess-is-too-easy

Nice stuff happy

Looks like your opponent blundered several moves into checkmate, and it would have been safer to have just taken the rook.

Yeah, It was a wired game. My opponent played pretty unorthodox so I had a winning position from very early on

will2009

my first bullet game i improved 138 points

rakka2000

I recently played against a person who raised 426 points in 30 days. So you can definitely do 100 points

blueemu

I gained 108 rating points in one game.

... it was a totally awesome game, though. Worth every point.

If you start a new account, you can go up 200+ points if you are having a good day. Then don't play with it again till your other account catches up.

Don't do that though. That is petty. That's just my dark humor.

well i gained 100 pts in rapid in the last 2 months but i also knew i should be able to hit 1800 when i did set myself the goal to reach that. i reached 1700 for the first time 1 year ago so going by that i gained 100 pts in like 1 year. i dont think i can gain another 100 pts now if i wanted to.

I don't think the difference between 1800 and 1900 is that big. If you put your mind to it and focus and study you should be able to hit it

That depends.

With or without human sacrifice?
