If you read the above, you'd know at least one reason.

Your main images are not large enough.  (The article says "Use a main image for the blog that is at least 1280x720 pixels.")

Is 762 x 429 the same as 1280x720?

/ I only looked at this one image. Maybe all your other main images are the right size. I don't know.

You didn't blog for a couple of months.  I think you need to blog more regularly, not just several every couple of months.

/ I didn't spend much time looking at the content. That is the main point. Are you creating engaging content that viewers look at and react to?

I don't think there is any precise rule.

I think they probably have hundreds of people who want top blogger status, if not more.

Keep trying!

It took 1 blog for @izyaslavkoza to become a top blogger.

It is a very interesting post comparing boxing and chess champions.

Then why don't the support team clears the confusion? The members can't wait for long time. That is frustrating.

They get too many request for that so replying to every applicant isn't productive. They state essentially that in the article on how to become one.

Concerning the cover image.  I use have always used  630px x 354px (as @Erik personally directed me to use).  So what seems to matter most about the image is using the correct proportions.

There can be many reasons why someone is selected and someone else isn't but one thing for certain is that the aspirant must give them some reason.  5 blogs isn't a lot by most standards, but could be a lot if they represented exemplary work, effort and quality.  Quantity is meaningless without exceptional quality.   One has to keep in mind that Top Blogger status, while giving a good bit of benefit to the blogger himself,  also affects the other Top Blogggers (it's adds competition to being noticed)  as well as chess.com itself (who wants the best representation).

If it were I making blogs and seeking Top Blogger status unsuccessfully, I'd spend more than 30 minutes on a blog post (as it is, I typically spent 30 hours or more on each blog posting) and find original approaches, perhaps a series that addresses particular areas from different angles.  In sort, you must catch the readers' attention and imagination.  Including games is good and usually necessary, but a quality blog post needs much, much more that some games and a few sentences.

It's really all mathematical:
Extra Effort + Good Content = Top Blogger
