How many cheaters are on here?

Im a relatively new chess player and new Chess.com user.  My puzzle rating is around 1800 give or take, and although im not a good strategist and lose a lot of games i can tell when someone is good and when they are terrible.  So my Rapid score sits around 500-600 at the moment, which is lousy, depending on how knackered i am when i play.  However i notice that some users with Rapid ratings around that number are just too damn good, i mean way better better than the average player around that area, thoughts anyone?

There might be 3 possibilities I guess:

Either they are a cheater, or they have started improving and studying chess or they are much higher rated than that but they have made that account to play against low rated players for content like streamers do.

This’ll be locked as we can’t discuss cheating in this forum. However, there was definitely an influx of cheaters when the latest wave of the chess boom hit. Clearly, new players thinking that they can outsmart the system by doing something no one has thought of doing: using an engine!

Scumbags, the lot of ‘em.

Who knows, maybe some are cheating.

However I will say that at low ratings there is a lot of variance regarding tactics, and when one player accidentally loses a few pieces over the course of just a few moves, there's often the false impression that their opponent is very good when in reality all they're doing is finding a few basic tactics in a row... it doesn't happen in your other games because you usually don't blunder 3 pieces in 3 moves (for example) but you're low rated, so sometimes it happens.

They might be improvers on the up- kids and the occasional adult can learn so quickly from their mistakes during play that their rating is always trailing their skill. You can generally spot them by taking a look at their win rate percentage, if they're fast improvers it should be more like 60% wins and 40% losses, or even better. But I had a quick look. Your 500-600 opponents are definitely playing like 500-600s. If you have any particular games in mind, you could point them out and get some feedback?

If you suspect someone is cheating. Report them.
